ChargeAnywhere SDK-Integrated Payment Terminal
Configuring an SDK-Integrated Payment Terminal
Overview
This article explains how to configure an SDK-integrated payment terminal in Back Office and register it automatically with the POS application.
Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure you have:
- The terminal's phone number (as listed in the ChargeAnywhere Portal)
- A valid SDK License
- Access to Back Office and the POS application
Configuration Steps
- Navigate to Store Settings > Payment Methods.
- Locate the Used only for SDK integrated method section.
Enter the following information:
- Customer Phone Number – Use the same phone number assigned to the terminal in the CA Portal.
- SDK License
- Friendly Name – Enter a descriptive name for the terminal (for example, Front Counter).

- Click Done.
2. Register the Terminal
- Open the POS application on the terminal device.
- Log in to the POS.
- The POS will automatically synchronize the settings from Back Office.
- The SDK terminal should register automatically during the synchronization process.
The SDK license is activated during the first successful transaction. After completing the configuration, it is recommended to process a test transaction to ensure that the license is activated properly and the terminal is fully operational.Troubleshooting
SDK License Already in Use
If the terminal does not register or transactions cannot be processed, the SDK license may already be assigned to another application.
To resolve this issue:
- Verify whether the SDK license is currently associated with a different application.
- Release the license from the existing application.
- Reassign the license for exclusive use with the intended application.
- Restart or re-sync the POS application if necessary.
Once the SDK license has been released and properly reassigned, transaction processing should function normally.
