Price Editor

Price Editor

What is Price Editor? Price Editor is a Back Office tool for bulk-updating inventory prices.

Why this is useful (Cash Discount / Dual Pricing merchants)

If you’re enrolled in Cash Discount / Dual Pricing, your “credit price” is typically increased by a set percentage. When we upload your inventory, we apply that pricing increase during the import.

But after that, merchants often:

  • add new products later, or

  • upload additional items after the initial increase

Those newly added items may not match your updated pricing.

What Price Editor helps you do

With Price Editor, you can quickly:

  • Increase prices for newly added items to match your Cash Discount / Dual Pricing percentage

  • Bring prices back to standard (revert pricing) if needed

  • Apply price updates in bulk instead of editing products one by one

When to use it

Use Price Editor when:

  • you added new items after your inventory pricing was already increased

  • you uploaded a new batch of products and need them aligned with your pricing program

  • you need to revert prices to standard for specific items or categories

1. Opening Price Editor

  1. Sign in to Back Office.

  2. Click Apps in the left navigation menu.

  3. Select Price Editor.

2. Page Layout at a Glance

Price Editor uses a single table for both browsing items and previewing changes. The table switches to preview mode after you click Preview — it then shows only the rows you selected.

3. Selection Modes

Checked items — only rows you manually check in the table are included.

All filtered not updated — automatically selects rows that meet all of the following: - were not previously updated by Price Editor, and - have no existing baseline.

For matrix items, this mode checks child variants and marks the parent selected when at least one child qualifies. You can still manually adjust the final checked set before clicking Preview.

Checkbox behavior in the table:

Click header checkbox - Selects / deselects all visible rows. Click a row checkbox - Selects / deselects that single row.

4. Working with Matrix Items

Matrix items are products with variants (e.g., size, color). They appear as collapsible parent rows.

Expand / collapse

Click the parent row or the expand icon

Parent price cell

Blank until variants are expanded

Variant price cells

Show values including $0.00 when the price is zero

Dual-pricing stores

Matrix cash cells remain blank

5. Step-by-Step Workflow

Follow these steps in order — you cannot apply changes without first previewing them.

[Search] → [Select] → [Preview] → [Apply]
  1. Select a store (required before searching).

  2. Optionally set DepartmentCategory, or Search filters.

  3. Click Search to load matching items.

  4. Select rows — manually check them, or choose All filtered not updated from the Selection dropdown.

  5. Choose the Operation and enter a Value if required.

  1. Click Preview — the table switches to preview mode showing only selected rows with their target prices.

  2. Review the target values. If anything looks wrong, click Cancel preview to go back and adjust.

  3. Click Apply — a confirmation popup appears.

  4. Confirm in the popup to commit changes or close it to return to preview.

6. Confirmation and Modifiers

The confirmation pop-up appears when you click Apply (not Preview). Its title is always Confirmation.

Popup content by operation type:

  1. Cash-discount

Shows effective increase percent; explains why it may exceed the discount rate

    Non-cash operations

Operation-specific message + Include modifiers checkbox in the footer

    Reset to original

Selected inventory items will be restored to their original price

Include modifiers checkbox — when checked, modifier prices for selected items are also updated. This option appears only for non-cash operations. Disclaimer: The above is for information purposes only. eHopper is not liable for any non-compliance with rules and regulations arising out of your use of this program.
